The Sea Cadets is a nationwide voluntary youth organisation, open to young people aged 12 to 18, we also have Marine Cadets detachments for young people aged 13 to 18 and Junior Sections open to those of 10 to 12 years of age. Sussex hosts seven Units on the South Coast. If you're out to enjoy life as much as possible, and need an interest outside school life, you will find Fun, Friendship, Adventure and even Overseas Travel as far as Australia! Our activities are mostly waterborne such as Kayaking, Sailing, motor-boating etc, but with lots of other exciting things to learn and do on land as well. Come in and have a look and see what you could be getting involved in. We also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and BTEC. Adult Volunteers are always needed and made welcome, all adults applying are subject to usual CRB Checks and references.
